Is it necessary to remove a garment afflicted with impurity with extreme caution to avoid transferring the impurity to the body or head?
The impurity on the bottom of a garment, resulting from walking on the street, is purified by passing over a pure place afterward. The bottom of the garment does not become impure by passing over an impure rug if both are dry. It also does not become impure by passing through the toilet unless it is certain that it has been contaminated with impurity. If it does become impure, it is sufficient to wash it with pure water without needing to remove it, especially if removing it would cause hardship. If the garment is removed, one must avoid the impurity touching the body. If it does happen, and the impurity is wet or the body is wet, then it must be purified. One should also ignore obsessive doubts.
