What is the ruling on a male urinating in the washbasin designated for ablution and washing? And what is the correct posture for relieving oneself without being exposed to impurity?

A Muslim should not urinate in the aforementioned washbasin because it is like a bathing area, and scholars have disliked urinating in bathing areas due to the prohibition reported regarding urinating in them, as it is said to cause obsessive thoughts (waswas). Among the etiquettes of relieving oneself are: remembrance (dhikr) before it, sitting down for it, preparing what will remove impurities, prioritizing the qiblah during istibra (cleansing), covering the head, not looking around, and remaining silent unless it is necessary.
