What is the ruling on the yellow fluid discharged from the navel, and is it pure or impure?

If the aforementioned fluid is pus, then it is impure according to most scholars, and it must be washed off the body and clothes as a precaution. However, if you prayed with it out of ignorance or forgetfulness, your prayer is valid.
