Is it permissible to perform Tayammum and pray Fajr out of fear of exacerbating the pain of urinary tract infections and gravel, while in a state of Janabah, with severe cold weather, and slow water heating?
If you know through habit, experience, or the informing of a trustworthy doctor that performing will increase your illness or delay your recovery, then your is permissible, and your prayer is valid. The jurists have agreed on the permissibility of tayammum for a sick person if he is certain of destruction, or fears that using water will lead to his demise, an increase in his illness, or a delay in his recovery, and this is known through habit or the informing of a skilled, Muslim, and just doctor. However, if using water does not affect you, or if heating it removes the expected harm, then you are sinful, and you must repent and make up the prayer that you performed without ghusl.
