Is it permissible to pray separate supererogatory (nafl) rak'ahs with a single tayammum?

Scholars differed concerning the ruling on Tayammum (definition). The majority held that it permits prayer but does not remove ritual impurity. According to this view, an obligatory prayer is not permissible with a Tayammum performed for a supererogatory prayer, even though any number of supererogatory prayer cycles may be performed with a single Tayammum. Abu Hanifa and those who agreed with him held that it removes ritual impurity like ablution (Wudu'). According to this view, both obligatory and supererogatory prayers are permissible with a single Tayammum, and it is invalidated only by what invalidates Wudu' or by the cessation of the excuse that permits Tayammum.
