What is the ruling on a father interrupting his prayer due to illness, refusing to perform tayammum, and delaying his prayers?

Prayer is the second pillar of Islam. It is the first obligation and the last thing the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, enjoined before his death. A severe warning has been mentioned regarding its abandonment, as he, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The covenant between us and them is prayer; whoever abandons it has disbelieved." Therefore, it is not permissible for your father to abandon prayer. If he is unable to perform ablution, he should perform tayammum (definition). If he is unable to stand, he should pray sitting or on his side, or by gesturing if he cannot do otherwise. He must pray as long as he is conscious. You should advise him gently and explain the seriousness of abandoning prayer.
