Holding the with an impure hand is forbidden, but it is not disbelief unless one intends to belittle it. Placing the Mushaf in an impure place is a sin, and it becomes disbelief if accompanied by the intention to belittle it. The default state of places is purity unless their impurity is known with certainty. It is also advised to abandon obsessive thoughts and turn away from them.
