What is better for explaining Sahih al-Bukhari: "At-Ta'leeq ala Sahih al-Bukhari by Ibn Uthaymeen" or "Minhat al-Jaleel sharh Sahih Muhammad ibn Isma'il"? Is there another better book? Is "At-Ta'leeq ala Sahih Muslim by Ibn Uthaymeen" sufficient, or is there something better?
Among the finest contemporary (Qur'anic exegesis) books are: "Al-Tafsir Al-Wasit li al-Quran al-Karim" by Muhammad Sayyid Tantawi, and "Al-Tafsir Al-Munir" by Wahbah Al-Zuhayli. As for the best contemporary commentaries on Al-Bukhari: "Fayd Al-Bari" by Al-Kashmiri, and for Sahih Muslim: "Fath Al-Mun'im" by Musa Lashin. These books are meticulously edited, comprehensive, and have fully covered the expounded material. It is worth noting that clarity of expression is not exclusive to contemporary scholars; books such as "Zad Al-Masir" by Ibn Al-Jawzi, "Irshad Al-Sari" by Al-Qastalani, and "Sharh Al-Nawawi ala Muslim" are distinguished by their ease and clarity.
