The aforementioned is authentic. The Prophet's ﷺ forgetting of the verse was a verbal forgetfulness, like that of any human. Allah has guaranteed the preservation of the Qur'an, and the Prophet's ﷺ forgetfulness was temporary and does not affect the preservation of the Holy Qur'an.
