The Holy Qur’an is a healing for all ailments, and it is permissible for a person to recite it with the intention of earning reward and recompense, while using it as a means to cure a sick person, fulfill a need, or relieve distress. The best way to complete the recitation of the Qur’an is for a person to recite it alone to earn the reward of recitation. This was known of the righteous predecessors who would supplicate to Allah upon completion. As for completing the Qur’an in the manner mentioned in the question, it is among the newly invented matters and was not known to the predecessors.
