The Qur’an is the best and most beneficial speech, and a Muslim not being affected by it while being affected by anasheeds (religious songs) is a dangerous sign. To remedy this situation, the following is recommended: increasing the recitation of the Qur’an and understanding its meanings, increasing the remembrance of Allah and obedience to Him, repenting from sins, and reducing listening to anasheeds. Scholars have stated that hardness of the heart is caused by turning away from Allah and being distant from the Qur’an, and its remedy is turning towards Allah, frequent remembrance of Him, and recitation of the Qur’an.
