What should I do about my brother, whom I thought was dead, but then it became clear to me that he is bewitched and tormented by his sorcerer, with his repeated pleas to me in dreams?
If you are certain of your brother's life, it is permissible to perform on him with the Quran and Prophetic supplications, such as the Mu'awwidhat (Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas) and other verses for nullifying magic. His case can also be presented to specialists in Ruqyah from among the righteous and virtuous.
Among the methods for treating magic is using seven green Sidr leaves, grinding them, mixing them with water, and then reciting Ayatul Kursi and the Qawāqil (Al-Mu'awwidhat and Al-Kafirun) over them. He should drink three sips from it and bathe with the remainder. This is particularly beneficial for one who is prevented from reaching his family.
It is not permissible to go to sorcerers, soothsayers, or magicians to undo magic, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever comes to a soothsayer or diviner and believes what he says has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him." And "Whoever goes to a diviner and asks him about something, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days."
