The answer

The division of the into parts (ajza'), sections (ahzab), and quarters (arbā') is a matter of (scholarly discretion) and not a divinely ordained instruction (tawqifi). It is permissible to print copies of the Mushaf without these divisions, as the widely circulated copies of the Mushaf vary in the starting points of these divisions. There is no transmitted report indicating that this division, which occurred during the time of Al-Hajjaj, had any basis from the Prophet (peace be upon him) or his companions.
