What is required for touching the Mushaf, and what is the difference between purification (tahara) and ablution (wudu), and is ablution not required for touching the Mushaf, but only purification?

An unbeliever is not permitted to touch the Qur’an due to the impurity of his belief. Likewise, a Muslim who is in a state of major or minor ritual impurity is not permitted to touch it, based on the words of the Almighty: "None shall touch it save the purified." It is also narrated in the Prophet’s letter to the people of Yemen: "None shall touch the Qur’an save one who is pure." This purity includes being free from disbelief, ritual impurity, and physical filth.
