Is it permissible to give charity to a fiancé who is a soldier in the army and in a bad financial situation?

If your fiancé is poor and in need, there is no harm in giving him charity, even if it is zakat (definition). This is permissible even if your marriage contract has been concluded. Indeed, the majority of scholars are of the opinion that he has more right to your charity and zakat than others, based on what Al-Bukhari narrated from Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Zaynab, the wife of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud: "Your husband and your child have more right to what you give in charity to them." And in Al-Bukhari and Muslim, it is narrated from Zaynab, the wife of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with her), that she asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) if it was sufficient for her to spend on her husband and orphans under her care, and he replied: "Yes, she will have two rewards: the reward of kinship and the reward of charity."
