It is permissible to authorize charitable organizations to purchase, slaughter, and distribute the on your behalf. This is the issued by Sheikh Abdullah ibn Abdur-Rahman Al-Jibreen. However, giving the monetary value of the Aqiqah as charity instead of slaughtering it is not sufficient.
