The answer

This beloved young man and Imam of his people has been blessed by Allah with favors that obligate him to abandon extravagance in his own affairs, to worship well, and to be grateful to Allah. For the love people have for him and his leadership of them is a great blessing. So, let him praise Allah for it, utilize it in obedience to Him, and fear Allah concerning his position. As for his fear of showing off (riyaa'), this is a whisper from Satan that he must cast away, ignore, and seek Allah's help against.
