Is a sheep that was injured in its leg on the eve of Eid after being purchased considered a valid Udhiyah sacrifice?

If a Muslim buys a sacrificial animal free of defects, and then a defect occurs that prevents its validity—such as blindness in one eye or lameness—it is still valid, and he may slaughter it. This is the view of the majority of scholars. The preventing defect is the old one, not the new one. Evidence for this is that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, commanded the Companions to sacrifice a ram that had been attacked by a wolf in its hindquarters or ear.
