Is it permissible to slaughter the Eid sacrifice (sheep) if its horns are embedded in the flesh and have caused bleeding?

The opinion of the majority of scholars is that a defect in the horn does not affect the validity of the sacrifice, and that an animal with a broken horn is valid for Udhiyah, whether its horn bled or not. This is the more preponderant view. This is supported by the narration of Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) in which he mentioned that there is "no harm" in an animal with a broken horn, and that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) commanded them to inspect only the eyes and ears. Al-Nawawi stated that an animal without horns or with broken horns is valid, unless the pain from the breakage affects the flesh. However, an animal with horns is better, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) sacrificed two horned rams.
