The answer

The Hady (sacrificial animal) is what is slaughtered from camels, cattle, or sheep in the Sacred Precinct () during the days of Nahr (slaughter, i.e., Eid al-Adha and the two days following it), for various reasons, including Tamattu' (combining ' and Hajj), (combining 'Umrah and Hajj with a single ), leaving an obligation, committing a prohibited act, or seeking closeness to Allah. The Mutamatti' (one who combines 'Umrah and Hajj with two separate ihrams) is obligated to offer a Hady. If he cannot find one, then he must fast for ten days: three during the Hajj and seven upon returning. The Hady is slaughtered during the days of Nahr. It is not obligatory for 'Umrah alone except as a voluntary act. The Mutamatti' offers the Hady, whether he is a man or a woman, and one Hady is not sufficient for both of them. As for the (sacrifice), it is a for the pilgrim and others.
