Should we cancel the orphanage visit scheduled for April 2nd—which falls on a Friday—if it coincides with the "innovated Orphan's Day," in order to avoid endorsing this innovation, or should we proceed with a pure intention for the sake of Allah Almighty, especially since the date was merely a coincidence?

The permissible Eids in Islam are only Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. Any others, such as Tree Day, Children's Day, Mother's Day, and Orphan's Day, are innovations (bid'ah) and are not permissible, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever introduces into this affair of ours that which is not from it, it is rejected." Therefore, it is not appropriate to visit orphans on this innovated day, because abandoning innovation is more preferable. It should also be noted that it is not permissible for women to accompany non-mahram (definition) men, nor is it permissible to visit an orphanage if there are men there from whom temptation could arise, unless there is a legitimate and recognized religious need.
