The book "Tasliyat Ahl al-Masa'ib" (Consolation for the Afflicted) is a good and beneficial book. Its author is Muhammad ibn Muhammad ibn Mahmud al-Salihi al-Manbiji, one of the scholars of the eighth Hijri century, who passed away in the year 775 AH. He was among the virtuous Hanbalis; he heard , memorized Al-Muqni', issued fatwas, taught, and was known for his piety, asceticism, and devotion.
