The answer

To continue to be forbearing with one's wife, and to ignore her words when she is angry, considering them to be idle talk. It should be noted that anger can be a psychological condition requiring consultation with a psychiatrist, and that the prophetic remedies for it should be adopted. The impermissibility of insulting a Muslim, especially if it is the husband, should be clarified, and that doing so is considered *nushuz* (disobedience/rebellion). We also remind of the Prophet's (peace be upon him) recommendations concerning women, to treat them with kindness and overlook their lapses, and that a woman was created from a crooked rib, and that trying to straighten her by force may lead to breaking her.
