The answer

The (waiting period) for a woman must be spent in the marital home where she resided before her husband's separation or death. This is the view of the majority of scholars, based on the of Furay'ah bint Malik. If the woman returns to the marital home where she resided before her husband's death, she must complete her iddah there. Her relocation or travel outside of this place is not permissible.
