Is it considered a sin to continue estrangement from one's sister due to family problems related to money and the sister's bad manners?

The Sharia (definition) has prohibited discord and abandonment among Muslims, and the severing of kinship ties is among the major sins. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded us to maintain kinship ties even with those who sever them, for the one who maintains ties is not the one who reciprocates, but rather the one who maintains kinship ties when they are severed. It is obligatory to maintain ties with one's sister with kindness, and it is not permissible to sever ties with her except to ward off her harm or to reform her and deter her from evil. Disputes between spouses are not a justification for estrangement. Maintaining ties can be achieved through visiting, calling, corresponding, greeting, and anything that custom considers to be a form of maintaining ties.
