Is it forbidden to direct the toilet towards the Qibla, and is it related to family problems in the home?

Scholars have differed regarding facing or turning one's back to the Qibla (definition) when relieving oneself. The preponderant view is that it is permissible indoors but not in open spaces. This is the opinion of the majority of scholars, and their evidence is the agreed-upon Hadith (definition) of Ibn Umar, who saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) on two bricks, facing Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem) to relieve himself. This view is the most balanced because it reconciles the different pieces of evidence.

It is more cautious to avoid it if possible, to step out of the disagreement. This matter has no effect on household problems. They should resolve their problems with wisdom and Islamic law, consulting scholars, and reminding their children of filial piety and the seriousness of disobedience to parents.
