Is it permissible for the family of the deceased to hold a large banquet on the last days of mourning along with the recitation of the Prophet's birthday (Mawlid)? And what is the evidence for this if it is permissible?

Making a feast by the family of the deceased in the last days of mourning is against the Sunnah (definition), based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Prepare food for Ja'far's family, for indeed something has come to them that preoccupies them." Gathering at the deceased's family and preparing food after burial has been considered a form of wailing (niyaha). As for reading the Mawlid (Prophet's birthday) at the feast, it is an innovated matter for which there is no evidence.
