The answer

The young man erred by engaging in a forbidden relationship and toying with emotions, but the questioner bears some responsibility due to her lack of piety. It is not permissible to supplicate for the man's heart to become attached to the questioner, because the heart's attachment to a non- woman is a sin, and supplicating for a sin is not permissible, even if the one supplicated against is an oppressor, because it is an act of transgression. Al-Qarafi said: "And do not supplicate against him for committing any of God Almighty's disobedience." This supplication is a sin, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The supplication of any one of you will be answered as long as he does not supplicate for a sin or for cutting off family ties."
