Is leaving Madinah to live near family in Syria considered a sin?

Living in Medina is a great blessing due to its many virtues, but there is no harm in leaving it to live with parents, whether for their dutifulness or their need, and there is no sin in doing so, although one misses out on a great virtue. The dispraise mentioned for those who leave Medina is not general for all people. Whoever leaves for a valid need and not out of dislike for Medina is not included in the dispraise. Indeed, the Companions left to spread the religion. The hadith (definition): "No one leaves it out of dislike for it, but Allah will replace him with someone better than him" (narrated by Muslim), is interpreted as dispraising those who leave out of dislike for it, and not those who leave for a need, trade, jihad, or those who return to their homeland. If it is possible to combine dutifulness to parents and living in Medina, that is better; otherwise, there is no harm in returning to your country.
