What is the wisdom behind the affliction of the righteous believer with worries and problems, while the disbeliever and the one who severs family ties enjoy provision and happiness in this world?

It has been authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that maintaining kinship ties increases sustenance and prolongs life. The Holy Quran affirms that righteous deeds bring a good life, and that fearing Allah facilitates affairs and opens the doors of sustenance, while turning away from His remembrance leads to a constricted life. These truths are observed throughout the ages, as those who repent find happiness after repentance. The difficulties that afflict a Muslim are a trial to expiate sins and raise ranks, and he should examine himself, repent, supplicate, and be patient. The facilitation of affairs for the wicked and disbelievers is a gradual enticement from Allah. Abundance of wealth is not a measure of happiness, for Allah may protect His servant from the worldly life as a mercy to him.
