The methodology of righteousness begins with turning to Allah and seeking refuge in Him, and frequently saying: "O Ever-Living, O Sustainer, by Your mercy I seek help; rectify all my affairs for me, and do not entrust me to my soul for the blink of an eye." Then, it involves acting upon the Quran and Sunnah (definition), following the guidance of the Prophet (peace be upon him), accompanying righteous people, and keeping away from bad companions.
