Is it permissible, according to the Maliki school, to abandon the opinion regarding the impurity of semen and adopt the opinion of the Shafi'i and Hanbali schools to limit obsessive doubts? And is it permissible to let one's garment hang below the ankles without arrogance, or must one refrain from letting it hang down for fear of falling into a wrong intention?

Semen is pure, and there is no objection to acting upon this opinion, especially for those afflicted with obsessive-compulsive disorder (waswas). As for letting one's garment hang below the ankles (isbal), it is absolutely forbidden, whether done out of arrogance or not. One must raise the garment above the ankles, following the Sunnah (definition) and to avoid scholarly disagreement. One should not pay attention to the devil's whisperings that this action is for the sake of marriage; rather, the intention must be purely for Allah.
