How authentic is the Hadith Qudsi: "O Adam, the moaning of the sinners is more beloved to Us than the glorification of the hypocrites"?

We have not found anyone who has spoken about the authenticity of this narration (athar) or its lack thereof. Ibn Taymiyyah mentioned it with a wording that implies its lack of authenticity, stating "it was narrated." Al-'Ajlouni mentioned it in 'Kashf al-Khafa'' but did not make any judgment about it. Al-Alusi mentioned it in 'Ruh al-Ma'ani' as part of a sacred hadith (definition) (hadith qudsi). Al-Bayhaqi mentioned it in 'Shu'ab al-Iman' attributed to a divine revelation from Allah to David (peace be upon him).
