How can the soundest narrations in Sahih al-Bukhari be distinguished, such as the hadith "Actions are by intentions," and what are the books that have selected the soundest and most preferable narrations of al-Bukhari?

Scholars have agreed that the two Sahih (definition) collections are the most authentic books after the Quran, and that Sahih al-Bukhari is more authentic than Sahih Muslim. Most scholars believe that everything in Sahih al-Bukhari is fundamentally sound and authentic. The most authentic narrations in Sahih al-Bukhari are those agreed upon with Muslim, followed by those独 isolated by Al-Bukhari that meet their shared criteria, then those supported by corroborating evidence and chains of transmission that confirm their authenticity, then those surrounded by contextual clues indicating their soundness, and finally, those narrated by Al-Bukhari that no one has criticized.

As for the most authentic chains of transmission (asanid), it has been said: Al-Zuhri from Salim from his father; and it has been said: Ibn Sirin from Ubaidah from Ali; and it has been said: Al-A'mash from Ibrahim from Alqamah from Ibn Mas'ud; and it has been said: Al-Zuhri from Ali ibn Al-Hasan (definition) from his father from Ali; and it has been said: Malik from Nafi' from Ibn Umar. What Al-Bukhari narrates as corroborating evidence (shawahid) and follow-ups (mutaba'at) is of a lower rank than what he narrates as principal texts (usul), as the principal texts represent the strongest and finest chains of transmission.
