This was narrated by Al-Harith in his Musnad, and transmitted by Ibn Abd al-Barr in Al-Tamhid, Al-Tabari in his Tarikh, and Ibn Sa'd in Al-Tabaqat. It was authenticated by Al-Albani in Al-Sirah Al-Nabawiyyah.
