Is the Hadith: "Whoever fasts the first Thursday of Sha'ban and the last Thursday of it, it is a certainty upon Allah that He will admit him to Paradise," authentic, and who narrated it, and is it permissible to act upon it?

There is no authentic in the reliable books concerning fasting on the 15th and 27th of Rajab. Some Sufi websites circulate such narrations without any chain of transmission, thus it is not permissible to act upon them or to single out these two days for fasting. What is established is that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to fast frequently in Sha'ban.
