Is the prohibition against sitting between the shade and the sun for a ruling of prohibition (tahreem) or a ruling of dislike (karaaha), and what is the interpretation of the statements of Ibn al-Munkadir and Ishaq regarding that?

The prohibition of sitting between the shade and the sun is understood as a matter of disfavor (makrooh), because the prohibition is mentioned in the context of etiquette and guidance, and for protecting a person from harm. This has been interpreted to mean that the prohibition is against doing so persistently and making it a habit. As for someone who sat in the shade and then the sun reached him, his situation is less severe than someone who intentionally sat between the shade and the sun. However, it is better for him to move from that place due to the Prophet's saying: "for it is the sitting place of Satan," and the command in this hadith (definition) is understood as a recommendation (mandub).
