The answer

The book "Subul al-Huda wa al-Rashad," like other human compilations, contains weak narrations. However, this does not preclude benefiting from it, especially since scholars are lenient regarding biographical accounts (sīrah). It was narrated from Ibn Sayyid al-Nas that scholars are lenient concerning matters of encouragement (raqā'iq), accounts of military expeditions (maghāzī), and matters that do not involve rulings. Ibn Burhan mentioned that biographical accounts include both authentic and unsound narrations. Al-Zayn al-Iraqi stated in his Alfiyyah al-Sirah that biographical accounts gather both authentic and objectionable narrations. It was also narrated from Imam Ahmad and others that they were lenient regarding virtues and similar matters, unlike lawful and unlawful rulings. Therefore, the presence of weak narrations in the book should not deter one from reading it and benefiting from it.
