What is the authenticity of the hadith: "Indeed, knowledge is acquired through learning, and patience is acquired through striving to be patient, and forbearance is acquired through striving to be forbearing," and what is its source?

The Hadith (definition) "Indeed, knowledge is attained through learning, and forbearance is attained through striving for forbearance" was narrated by Al-Tabarani and deemed good (hasan (definition)) by Al-Albani. As for the wording "and indeed, patience is attained through striving for patience," it has not been reported in the sources of the Sunnah (definition). However, it was reported with the wording "And whoever strives for patience, Allah will grant him patience," narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim. The meaning of "striving for patience" (al-tasabbur) is to compel oneself to be patient.
