What is the authenticity of the hadith narrated in Imam Ahmad's Musnad from Buhaysah, in which her father asked the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about what is impermissible to withhold, and he mentioned: "water" and "salt," then said: "Indeed, if you do good, it is better for you"?

This hadith (definition) was reported by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, and An-Nasa'i, but it is a weak hadith, serially narrated by unknown narrators. Scholars like Abdul-Haqq Al-Ishbili and Ibn Al-Qattan have declared it defective. Sheikh Shu'aib Al-Arna'oot mentioned that its chain of transmission includes Sayyar bin Manzur, his father Manzur, and Buhaisah Al-Fazariyyah, all of whom are unknown. Furthermore, there is inconsistency in the hadith's chain of narration.
