What is the authenticity of the supplication narrated from the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family), which states: "I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the accursed. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. There is no god but Allah, there is no god but Allah, by the number of times those who declare His oneness have declared it..." to the end? And does Allah forgive all the sins of its reciter if he recites it once in his lifetime?

This Hadith (definition) has no known origin, but the Quran and Sunnah (definition) provide ample sufficiency without it. Allah has commanded seeking forgiveness and repentance, as He says: "And indeed, I am the All-Forgiving to whoever repents, believes, and does righteousness, and then is guided." And His saying, on the tongue of Hud: "And ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him. Indeed, my Lord is Merciful and Loving." And in Sahih (definition) Muslim: "O My servants, you sin by night and by day, and I forgive all sins, so seek My forgiveness, and I will forgive you."
