"Learn Arabic and teach it to the people" is not a prophetic , but rather a saying attributed to Umar ibn al-Khattab, and it was also reported as a saying of Ubayy ibn Ka'b. As for "Whoever learns the language of a people is safe from their cunning," it has no origin in the well-known books of , even if its meaning is sound.
