The answer

The spaciousness of a home contributes to a person's happiness in this world, as stated in the prophetic tradition () from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Among a person's happiness are: a righteous neighbor, a comfortable ride, and a spacious dwelling." Absolute happiness is the happiness of both worlds, while restricted happiness is according to what it is restricted by. Whoever is blessed with righteousness in these matters will have a good life, because they bring comfort to bodies and hearts. Likewise, a cramped dwelling brings worry and occupies the mind. It is legislated for a person to ask their Lord for spaciousness in their dwelling, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, supplicated: "O Allah, forgive my sins, make my home spacious for me, and bless me in what You have provided for me."
