Has the nation that was transformed from the Children of Israel and lived for a short period of time perished or not? And do they have offspring or not? And was the Prophet's belief that they were transformed into mice mistaken?

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) states in the Hadith (definition) that he suspected that mice were among the remnants of those from the Children of Israel who were transformed, and he based this on the fact that mice do not drink camel milk, and the Children of Israel do not drink camel milk. This statement was based on the Prophet's suspicion, not on revelation. Later, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stated with certainty that Allah did not grant offspring or progeny to those who were transformed, and that monkeys and pigs existed before the transformation. This indicates that what he mentioned regarding mice was before he received revelation about the matter. Scholars emphasize that an error in the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) suspicion concerning such worldly matters does not diminish his status, and that what he conveyed from Allah Almighty must be accepted.
