The answer

Islam is a religion of equality among all people; it does not favor one gender over another. The criterion for preference in it is piety, as Allah Almighty said: {O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted.} The Quranic addresses are general for all people or their categories without specifying a particular gender, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade boasting about ancestors, clarifying that all people are children of Adam.
