Is it permissible to apply men's perfume, from which scent emanates, to a foul-smelling abaya, knowing that men will pass by them?

The basic principle is that a woman should completely remove any perfume she is wearing when she leaves her home, based on what is stated in the Hadith (definition): "If a woman goes to the mosque, she should wash off perfume just as she washes off janabah (definition) (ritual impurity)," and the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "And they should go out without perfume." Therefore, it is not permissible to wear perfume when going out if its scent is strong, and an unpleasant odor from the abaya can be removed by washing or replacing it.
