Is it permissible for a woman to wear perfume when leaving her home, provided that her perfume is not noticeable, given the hadith: "If they smell her fragrance, then she is – Allah forbid – an adulteress"? And why is men's perfume not unlawful, even though a man's perfume might arouse the desire of some women?

If the perfume has no scent, there is no harm for a woman to use it. The differentiation between men and women in the ruling on perfume originates from the Sharia, and the wisdom behind it may be that a man's infatuation with a woman is often greater, making her a greater temptation if she perfumes herself or adorns herself. As for a man who perfumes himself with the intention of attracting women, he incurs sin by his intention.
