Is it permissible to go to a woman who seeks the help of jinn and claims to heal by reciting the Quran and mentioning Allah and His Messenger, and asks for a rooster or a chicken of a specific color to be slaughtered, especially if modern medicine has failed?

This woman and others like her are sorcerers, soothsayers, and diviners. It is not permissible to go to her or consult her. Rather, she must be disciplined and imprisoned. Seeking proximity to jinn and seeking their help is among the greatest forms of corruption and may lead to major shirk (definition) (polytheism). The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever goes to a diviner and asks him about something, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days," and "Whoever goes to a soothsayer or a diviner and believes what he says has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him." What she does, such as slaughtering animals, mentioning Allah, and sending blessings upon the Prophet, is deception and trickery. It is obligatory to be wary of her and report her to those in authority.
