Is it permissible to sit at a table where haram food is served with the intention of inviting people to Allah, if this is the only opportunity to communicate with those being invited?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him not sit at a table where wine is circulated." This hadith (definition) indicates the obligation to avoid places of disobedience unless there is a benefit, such as enjoining good and forbidding evil. If a person is capable of doing so and is safe from being drawn into sin, then he may attend that gathering. Ibn Qudamah said: If one is invited to a banquet where there is disobedience and he is able to condemn it, then it is obligatory for him to attend and condemn it; otherwise, he should not attend.
