Is it permissible to remain in a place where there is alcohol, while being careful not to sit next to it or drink it?

It is not permissible to sit with alcohol drinkers unless one is condemning their wrongdoing, otherwise, one must leave them, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him not sit at a table where alcohol is served." This is because sitting with them is a means of participating in their evil deed or approving of it. Allah Almighty said: "And when you see those who engage in [offensive] discourse concerning Our verses, then turn away from them until they enter into another conversation. And if Satan should cause you to forget, then do not remain after the remembrance with the wrongdoing people." And He said: "And He has already sent down to you in the Book that when you hear the verses of Allah being denied and ridiculed, then do not sit with them until they enter into another conversation. Indeed, you would then be like them."
